Arnoux-Lachaux’s Clos de Vougeot Quartier de Marei Haut comes from the upper part of the celebrated clos, near the château. The Pinot Noir parcel covers approximately half a hectare and includes vines planted in the 1950s. The additional name therefore identifies a precise sector of the Grand Cru, making the cuvée’s provenance explicit. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts and a proportion of whole bunches. During the period represented by this bottle, maturation takes place in oak, followed by a stage in tank before bottling, keeping the grapes’ origin central.
