Description

La Rencontre brings together two Meursault origins, Les Pelles and Sous la Velle, where Bernard-Bonin cultivates old Chardonnay vines. It is a meeting of parcels on clay-limestone soils, interpreted through extended maturation on the lees in oak barrels with a restrained proportion of new wood. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin closely follow the evolution of each barrel, allowing time for the wine to find its balance. The cuvée offers a composed interpretation of Meursault, built around complementary vineyards and patient work in the cellar.
