Description

Le Limozin borders the Premier Crus Charmes-Dessous and Genevrières-Dessous on an east- to southeast-facing slope. Bernard-Bonin makes a Chardonnay Meursault here from clay-limestone soils marked by large, friable and fissured stones. Maturation on the lees in oak barrels continues until the wine is prepared for bottling without fining or filtration. New wood remains a restrained element, consistent with the domaine’s measured approach. This cuvée focuses on a particular place within Meursault and on allowing enough time for the fruit and its maturation to settle into a natural balance before release.
