Description

Les Tillets takes Bernard-Bonin to the upper slopes of Meursault, above the Bouchères Premier Cru. The steep parcel faces east and southeast, with shallow topsoil over stony white marl. Its Chardonnay vines were planted at different times between the 1950s and the 1980s. The wine matures on its lees in oak barrels, with a restrained proportion of new wood, and is bottled without fining or filtration. Its identity begins with this elevated position and the close relationship between the roots and the mineral structure beneath the thin layer of vineyard soil.
