Description

Blain-Gagnard's Le Montrachet comes from a small parcel of thirteen rows, received from Jacques Gagnard in 1999 and bottled by the domaine from the 2000 vintage onwards. This family origin connects the wine with Chassagne-Montrachet and the Gagnard vineyard inheritance. Chardonnay ferments in barrel and matures in oak, with lees work contributing to the development of texture. The cuvée's character brings concentration, breadth and structure together with a pursuit of finesse. Its Grand Cru depth is expressed through balance between richness of substance and precision, within a distinctly family-rooted interpretation of the vineyard.
