Description

Bonneau du Martray's Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru brings together parcels along the western side of the Corton hill. Afternoon sunlight and circulating air accompany the grapes' ripening. The ground changes from top to bottom, combining clay, silt, marl and different limestone formations. Upper parcels contribute finesse and floral or citrus impressions, the middle slope provides structure, and lower sections bring power. Blending seeks balance between these components. Fermentation in oak and resting on fine lees complete a cuvée designed to interpret the vineyard as a whole, reflecting its varied and complementary hillside positions.
