Description

Clos des Grandes Vignes lies in Prémeaux and belongs entirely to Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, which acquired it in 2012. Most of the vineyard is planted to the Pinot Noir behind this red, separate from the clos’s small white-wine production. Brown soils combine clay and silt, with limestone stones and an oolitic bedrock containing traces of marine organisms. Vinification uses indigenous yeasts and destemming adapted to the fruit, followed by oak maturation and bottling without fining or filtration. The climat’s character is expressed through the meeting of vigour and suppleness, within a clearly defined monopole.
