Description

Coquard Loison Fleurot's Échézeaux is made from the family's own vineyards in the Côte de Nuits. The domaine holds approximately 1.29 hectares in this Grand Cru, connected with the Loison family's inherited parcels around Flagey-Échézeaux. Thomas Collardot aims for concentrated yet agile Pinot Noir through hand harvesting, careful selection and a proportion of whole bunches adapted to each vintage. Barrel maturation generally lasts fifteen to eighteen months, followed by bottling without fining or filtration. The wine reflects the cellar's pursuit of balance between ripe fruit and tension, rather than concentration achieved at the expense of freshness.
