Description

Domaine d’Eugénie’s Clos de Vougeot comes from the south-western sector of the famous enclosure, in its upper portion near the château. The Pinot Noir vines face east, with soils changing from clay and limestone higher up to a more silty component over limestone lower down. The wine emphasises density, energy and structure, its tension supporting substantial texture and gradual development. Established in 2006 through the acquisition of Domaine René Engel, the estate seeks the individual personality of each climat. Here that pursuit meets the deep, enduring character of Clos de Vougeot.
