Description
Domaine d’Eugénie’s Grands Echézeaux comes from a parcel at the southern edge of the appellation, its rows beginning just above the south-western wall of Clos de Vougeot. Pinot Noir grows on comparatively deep clay-limestone soil, with a south-eastern aspect and a gentle slope. The estate’s description centres on a refined, complex bouquet and a smooth, extended, finely drawn palate. This interpretation of the grand cru combines aromatic intricacy with a distinguished texture. The identity of the site remains the guiding reference for a domaine established in 2006 on vineyards belonging to the historic René Engel estate.
