Description
Domaine de Bel Air's Cuvée Riquette is a Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon from caillottes parcels, the Villiers limestone also known as criots. Pneumatic pressing preserves the bunches without crushing them; the must settles by gravity at low temperature and ferments under temperature control. Maturation uses stainless-steel or concrete tanks. The profile combines citrus, white and exotic fruits with floral nuances, freshness, crispness and a mineral finish. The cuvée belongs to the Mauroy-Gauliez family's work between Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain, on a property documented as far back as 1635.
