Description

Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is a dry Pessac-Léognan white from the Léognan property acquired by the Bernard family in 1983. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grow on gravel soils over a clay-gravel subsoil. Hand harvesting takes place in successive passes, selecting grapes as they reach the desired ripeness, and barrels play a central role in the subsequent winemaking. Fermentation and maturation take place in wood, with lees contact and bâtonnage. Careful selection of the grapes and individual lots is a defining part of the work devoted to the estate’s grand vin white.
