Description

Comte Lafond Sancerre Blanc is a Sauvignon Blanc produced by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette. The grapes come from the Sancerre area encompassing Bué, Chaudoux, Chavignol and Verdigny, with clay, limestone and silica soils. A multilevel winery allows gravity handling, while the different parcels remain separate during the early stages. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by time on the lees with stirring. The wine does not enter oak, keeping the grape's character central. It pairs with shellfish, seafood and goat cheeses.
