Description

Montrecul belongs to Marc Soyard’s small personal vineyard holdings on the outskirts of Dijon. Its Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils and is harvested and selected by hand. Whole bunches and indigenous yeasts are central to the winemaking, followed by maturation in used oak barrels and bottling without fining or filtration. This vineyard complements Soyard’s work at Domaine de la Cras and highlights another part of Dijon’s winegrowing heritage. Bottles from vintages before 2022 carried the name Montre-Luc, before the producer was able to adopt the Montre-Cul designation on the label.
