Domaine de la Romanée-Conti’s Corton comes from Pinot Noir in the Clos du Roi, Bressandes and Renardes climats. These vineyards, belonging to Domaine Prince Florent de Mérode, came under the estate’s management in 2008, with the first harvest the following year. Fruit from the old vines is brought together under the Corton appellation. The wine has substantial structure and firm tannins, with a profile suggesting dark cherry, earth and spice. Ripe fruit meets a mineral component, offering a layered expression of this Côte de Beaune Grand Cru.
