Domaine de la Vougeraie's Les Damodes is a Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru made from Pinot Noir. The climat occupies the northern edge of the appellation, bordering Vosne-Romanée. The estate's parcel lies on a pronounced east-facing slope with very stony, limestone-rich soils. The vines were planted in 1985 and 1986. Vineyard work includes winter earthing-up, shoot management, herbal preparations and biodynamic treatments. Organic cultivation has been certified since 2000. This precise origin remains central to the Premeaux-Prissey estate's interpretation of Pinot Noir from its northern Nuits-Saint-Georges site.
