Domaine de Montille's Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Le Cailleret comes from midway up the slope, extending north of Montrachet, below Chevalier-Montrachet and above Les Pucelles. The climat's name refers to its stony ground. The estate acquired its parcel in 1993, in the section closest to Montrachet. Chardonnay ferments in oak barrels and continues maturing in wood before a period in stainless steel. This sequence aims to preserve freshness and tension, emphasising the vineyard's location and the clarity of its expression within one of Puligny-Montrachet's precisely defined premier cru sites.
