Domaine de Montille's Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Aux Malconsorts comes from the climat immediately south of La Tâche. The main cuvée's parcel extends up the slope, bringing together complementary soils: pale clay and stones above, dark red clay below. Pinot Noir offers a complex profile with floral and spicy impressions, silky tannins and depth. The estate adjusts the proportion of whole bunches to the fruit and season. Fermentation in large wooden vats and maturation in barrels accompany a structure that seeks finesse and lift while preserving the individual character of this vineyard.
