Description

Made by Domaine de Villeneuve, this Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape "Les Vieilles Vignes" is produced from old-vine parcels (many vines over 40–100+ years) located in the northern sector of the appellation. The blend is Grenache-led, completed by Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and a small amount of Clairette. The estate farms biodynamically/organically and the wine displays the concentration and structure expected from old vines. On the palate it shows ripe dark fruit, integrated tannins and a Mediterranean herb-and-spice character.
