Description

Denis Bachelet's Bourgogne Pinot Noir comes from two lieux-dits, Pressonier in Gevrey and Grand Champ, covering approximately 0.6 hectares in total. The vines, planted in 1977 and 1986, face southeast on clay-limestone soils. Grapes are fully destemmed and crushed, with a pre-fermentation maceration followed by fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Punch-downs and pump-overs guide extraction before sixteen to eighteen months of maturation in used barrels. The wine is bottled by hand without fining or filtration, bringing the domaine's careful, hands-on approach to a regional appellation and keeping the focus on its own vineyard sources.
