Description

Denis Mortet’s Mes Cinq Terroirs combines five Gevrey-Chambertin sites: En Motrot, Au Vellé, Combe du Dessus, En Champs and En Derée. Old Pinot Noir vines grow on varied ground, bringing together clay, stones and rocky strata in the northern part of the village. The blend has been produced since the 2013 harvest, after the sites were previously vinified separately. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts before maturation in oak. The wine combines fruit richness, freshness and velvety tannins, with persistence drawing together its different origins.
