Description

Les Feusselottes combines three small Jean Marshall parcels midway up an east-facing slope, influenced by cool night air from the Combe de Chambolle. Jean's father planted the Pinot Noir in 1990. The soils vary within the cuvée: a very shallow, stony strip along a limestone fault, a deeper clay-rich section and another area scattered with small pebbles. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in stoneware. The wine's identity therefore emerges from the meeting of these small parcels, kept at the centre of the cellar's approach.
