Description

Jean Marshall's Aux Argillas comes from a small Pinot Noir parcel planted in 1964 by the winemaker's father using massal selections. The site lies at the base of a gentle south-facing slope, near the valley of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, which provides a cooling influence at night. Loamy soils contain numerous fine limestone pebbles. Sorted fruit ferments in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, followed by maturation in stoneware. The cuvée connects the family's vineyard inheritance with a cellar approach centred on the individual characteristics of this particular place.
