La Viallière is one of the single-site Côte-Rôties of Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin, a grower in Ampuis, from Syrah in the lieu-dit of that name on the Côte Brune. The grapes macerate about four weeks and the malolactic takes place in barriques. The 2021 is rich and velvety, with fruit, flowers, vanilla and white pepper.
