Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin's Les Grandes Places is a Côte-Rôtie Syrah associated with the namesake site. The parcel was first vinified separately in 1988, an important stage in the family's development of its work with individual origins. The estate began in Ampuis in 1983 and produced its first bottles in 1987 after taking over family vineyards. In the northern Rhône landscape, the meeting of continental and Mediterranean influences accompanies the appellation's identity. This cuvée retains its reference to a specific site within a journey that progressively distinguished several Côte-Rôtie vineyards.
