Jean-Pierre Guyon's Échézeaux comes from Pinot Noir in En Orveaux, a climat in Flagey-Échezeaux beside the valley of the same name. A small parcel of old vines rooted in clay and limestone produces a Grand Cru centred on definition and finesse. The estate describes wild strawberry, rose and spice, with a cool, minty accent adding lift. A precise opening leads into a silky texture and a mouthwatering finish, allowing the aromatic detail to unfold gradually. Organic vineyard care and restrained cellar intervention underpin this fragrant, layered expression of Pinot Noir.
