Les Charmes de Mazières selects the old village-level Vosne-Romanée vines that Jean-Pierre Guyon considers to have the greatest potential. In 2023, Pinot Noir comes from vines at least seventy years old and matures entirely in new oak. The wine is dense and gradually unfolding, with deep raspberry and blackcurrant fruit accompanied by rose and herbal nuances. Its structure retains a clear sense of direction, while an enveloping texture extends into a persistent finish. This cuvée places the inheritance of old vines at the heart of the selection, translating their concentration into a layered expression of Vosne.
