Description

Élise Fermouche is Jean-Yves Bizot's Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru, a Pinot Noir cuvée from a particularly small vineyard holding. The importer's technical sheet records plantings from 1944 and 1970 on clay-limestone soils. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, then vinified as whole bunches without sulfur additions. The wine continues its development in oak barrels before manual bottling, one barrel at a time. The vessel reference on each label underlines the importance of individual small lots, a distinctive feature of an approach that interprets Vosne through precise work and restrained intervention in the cellar.
