Description

Les Jachées is a single-vineyard Vosne-Romanée that places Jean-Yves Bizot's heritage of old vines at its centre. The Pinot Noir plantings date from 1929 and 1930, on clay-limestone soils in the lower part of the slope. Hand harvesting is followed by whole-bunch vinification and oak maturation. Bizot avoids sulfur additions during vinification and bottles each barrel separately by hand. The wine therefore retains a direct connection with its individual lot, expressing a philosophy that seeks purity and elegance while allowing time for the vineyard's character to unfold and develop in bottle.
