Description

Domaine Leflaive’s Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet comes from Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone soils. The estate’s vines include plantings dating from the late 1950s, a longstanding presence within Puligny’s mosaic of Grand Cru vineyards. Biodynamic cultivation is followed by hand harvesting, grape selection and close monitoring of ripeness in each individual parcel. Following gentle pressing, the juice is clarified by settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in oak; maturation continues on the lees, first in wood and then in stainless steel, before the wine is prepared for bottling.
