Domaines Leflaive’s Mâcon-Igé is a Chardonnay from the Mâconnais, part of the family’s project in the region that began in 2004. This work complements its historic holdings in Puligny-Montrachet and brings experience with Côte de Beaune white wines to southern Burgundy. In the 2022 vintage, the profile suggests white peach, hazelnut and nougat, accompanied by freshness and a mineral element on the palate. Its medium body supports an expression in which the fruit retains presence without losing definition, connecting the grape variety with its origin in Igé.
