Description

Leflaive’s Mâcon-Verzé is a Chardonnay white from several sites in the Verzé valley of the Mâconnais. The vineyards face southeast and southwest and grow on clay-limestone soils of varying depth. Cultivation follows biodynamic principles, and the grapes are harvested by hand, with sorting and ripeness monitoring carried out parcel by parcel. Slow, gentle pneumatic pressing precedes fermentation. The wine matures on its lees before continuing its development on fine lees in stainless steel. Fining and light filtration are carried out only when required before bottling.
