Description

Leflaive’s Pouilly-Fuissé is a Chardonnay white from the Mâconnais, rooted in clay-limestone soils. Hand harvesting is accompanied by grape selection and monitoring of ripeness across the different parcels to determine when to pick. In the cellar, long, gentle pneumatic pressing precedes settling of the must and the start of alcoholic and malolactic fermentations. Maturation continues in contact with the lees and is completed on fine lees in stainless steel. Before bottling, fining and light filtration are used only if they are considered necessary for the wine.
