Description

Domaine Leflaive’s Puligny-Montrachet brings together Chardonnay from several named sites in the village, including Les Houlières, Les Tremblots and Les Nosroyes. The soils combine clay and limestone, and the vineyards are farmed biodynamically. Drawing on several parcels gives this cuvée a broad geographical expression of Puligny. Grapes are harvested and selected by hand, then pressed slowly. The juice settles before moving into oak barrels for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Maturation on the lees includes a period in wood followed by a further stage in stainless steel.
