Description
Les Aricoques' Rouge Vin de Savoie 2021 brings together eighty per cent Mondeuse and twenty per cent Gamay. The roughly thirty-year-old vines grow on glacial moraine soils with southern and southwestern exposures. Almost all the grapes are destemmed, followed by ten days of maceration with brief daily pump-overs. A year in seasoned three-hundred-and-fifty-litre barrels precedes bottling without filtration. This is the red in which Romain Dupont and Guillaume Bellon combine the two varieties with maturation in wood to express their Savoie surroundings, giving it a distinct place alongside the Pan! range.
