Description

Maxime Dubuet-Boillot's Les Pitures comes from northern Volnay, close to Clos des Ducs. Its steep parcel, characterised by white clay, requires careful vineyard work. The Pinot Noir is harvested by hand and vinified with a proportion of whole bunches and spontaneous fermentation before maturation in French oak. The producer describes fruit that is both ripe and crisp, supported by silky tannins. The cuvée combines substance with elegance, retaining Volnay's character even in a more structured expression designed to develop over time, with a clear connection to its hillside origin.
