Description

Méo-Camuzet's Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from the upper part of the famous clos, immediately below the château. The continuous parcel has shallow soil, forcing roots to make their way through stones and broken rock. Grapes ripen readily and are among the first harvested at the estate. In the cellar, the wine benefits from maturation in oak, including new barrels, and extraction intended to support its length. Its general character combines a fine, enveloping texture with persistence, depth and the capacity to develop further complexity over time.
