Description

Méo-Camuzet's Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from Les Rouges du Bas, a climat that, despite its name, lies towards the top of the appellation. An east-southeast aspect encourages ripening, while the soil becomes lighter higher up the slope. The vines produce grapes capable of retaining acidity alongside richness. Winemaking follows a restrained approach, and maturation includes new oak. The wine brings together a fine opening, substantial depth and structuring freshness; time allows these elements to become more integrated and its complexity to emerge more clearly in the bottle.
