Description

Domaine Michelot Puligny-Montrachet is a blend of two Chardonnay parcels with different characteristics. The first lies below the Les Perrières Premier Cru, on clay-limestone soils over a gravelly subsoil; the second, below Les Clavoillons, has a greater clay content. The vineyards face south and southeast at elevations between 200 and 225 metres. The vines are trained using single Guyot. Combining these two origins defines a cuvée in which a mineral character is a central feature of the estate’s expression of Puligny-Montrachet.
