Description

Mugneret-Gibourg’s Échézeaux brings together two parcels within the Grand Cru: Les Rouges du Bas and Les Quartiers de Nuits. They were acquired in 1934 and 1930 respectively, at the beginning of the domaine’s family history. The soils are deep, containing stony debris and silt. The wine shows a refined character, with suggestions of raspberry, ripe cherry and spice. On the palate, freshness accompanies a fine, elegant texture. The estate emphasises its ability to develop with age, while considering it the most approachable in youth of its three Grand Crus.
