Description

Domaine Neumeyer's Gewurztraminer Taureau takes its name from Stierkopf, the bull's head, in Mutzig. The steep vineyard faces south at the entrance to the valley near the Bruche river, in a well-ventilated position. Its soil combines marl, limestone and sandstone. Organic cultivation and hand harvesting are followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts and time on the lees in stainless steel. The cuvée connects Gewurztraminer's character with a slope that encourages grape ripening, within the varied collection of sites farmed by the estate.
