Description

Domaine Neumeyer's Muscat Grand Cru Bruderthal brings together Muscat d'Alsace and Muscat Ottonel grown on the hills of Molsheim. The site faces southeast and forms a moderately sloping amphitheatre with Muschelkalk marl-limestone soils. Organic farming and hand harvesting precede fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation on the lees. The Grand Cru's name recalls the Carthusian brothers who owned vineyards in this area. The breadth and saline element associated with the site accompany the expression of the two Muscat varieties, keeping the grapes' origin central to the wine.
