Description

Domaine Neumeyer's Pinot Gris Berger comes from Schaefferstein, a Molsheim site whose name means shepherd's rock. The slope is gentle and faces southeast, with Muschelkalk marl-limestone soils accompanying gradual grape ripening. Farming is organic and harvesting is carried out by hand. The Pinot Gris ferments with indigenous yeasts and matures on its lees in large oak vessels. The cuvée preserves its connection with the parcel through its name, following the estate's exploration of the different vineyard origins found in northern Alsace.
