Description
Domaine Neumeyer's Pinot Noir Berger is associated with Schaefferstein in Molsheim, whose name refers to the shepherd's rock. The vineyard has a gentle slope facing southeast and a Muschelkalk marl-limestone substratum, conditions encouraging gradual grape ripening. Cultivation is organic and the harvest is manual. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matures on its fine lees in large oak vessels. This red cuvée explores the same named site represented among the estate's white wines, through the character of Pinot Noir.
