Description
Domaine Neumeyer's Pinot Noir Vallée des Frères comes from vines in the Bruderthal site on the hills of Molsheim. The French name echoes the meaning of Bruderthal and recalls the historical presence of Carthusian monks. The vineyard faces southeast on Muschelkalk marl-limestone soils. The organically grown grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts; maturation takes place on the lees in barrels. The cuvée offers a red interpretation of this site, connecting Pinot Noir with its origin and the shell-limestone geology characteristic of the estate's vineyards.
