Description

Nicolas Faure's Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vignes Blanches is a Chardonnay from the Combe d'Echevronne, at the foot of a southwest-facing slope. The small parcel was planted in 2021 using massal selection. In the cellar, the grapes are pressed as whole bunches and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. Maturation lasts around twelve months in previously used barrels, before bentonite fining. The wine presents this young vineyard through a straightforward sequence of cellar operations, while maintaining a clear distinction between the producer's individual cuvées and the grape varieties grown in the area.
