Produced by Domaine Olivier Leflaive, the Pernand‑Vergelesses Blanc 2020 is a white village wine from the Pernand‑Vergelesses AOC in the Côte de Beaune, made from 100% Chardonnay. Grapes come from sites such as Frétille, Sous les Clous, Les Combottes and Les Pins on clay‑limestone soils; the harvest is manual and the wine is aged for 12 months with roughly 18% new oak. Aromas of hawthorn and acacia develop toward honey and spices with age; the wine shows a harmonious body and pairs well with seafood pasta, risotto and more robust cheeses.
