Description

La Chapelle is the Syrah red closely associated with the history of Paul Jaboulet Aîné and the hill of Hermitage. Its name recalls the Saint-Christophe chapel, acquired by the family in 1919, but the wine comes from several origins, including Bessards and Méal, with complementary soils and exposures. Blending brings together structure, depth and the aromatic differences of individual parcels rather than isolating a single expression of the hill. Old-vine heritage and work on the steep slopes lie at the heart of this identity, developed through generations of growers and Syrah’s relationship with Hermitage.
