Clos du Roy takes Pierre-Olivier Garcia to the northern part of Marsannay, in a vineyard with light gravel deposits over limestone and marl. Pinot Noir is handled with close attention to selection and grape integrity, combining destemming and whole bunches according to the cuvée. Oak maturation accompanies an approach seeking clear fruit definition and finesse, without separating cellar work from the wine’s origin. The importer presents Clos du Roy through crunchy red fruit, floral nuances and fine tannins. It is a reading of Marsannay that keeps energy and aromatic precision at the centre of the palate.
