Description

Les Charmois is one of Pierre-Olivier Garcia’s interpretations of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Its name recalls an ancient hornbeam forest, while the vineyard has limestone slope pebbles above a silty-clay subsoil rich in iron oxides. The Pinot Noir is carefully selected, with some grapes handled berry by berry, cutting each pedicel by hand to keep the fruit intact. Combined with destemming, this technique seeks aromatic detail and complexity. The cuvée belongs to a project connecting vineyard biodiversity with precision in winemaking, keeping the identity of the site as the reference for decisions made in the cellar.
